Creating the Regional Agenda
Once regional leaders vetted possible options for each area of the Vision for a Thriving Region, the Power of 32 convened Issue Working Groups to develop tangible goals that would benefit from regional collaboration. Each goal had to be aspirational, achievable, regional in scope and each goal had to have an organization or collaboration of groups that would commit to champion the goal and work towards implementation. The goals developed are the first steps toward meeting the challenge of the community vision. This Agenda for a Thriving Region will not meet all the challenges or capitalize on every opportunity, but it presents specific ways working together can improve our quality of life and help us to become more globally competitive.
Ongoing public engagement is important. By connecting to the goals locally and supporting collaborative initiatives, you can help make sure we reach each goal. Your ideas and comments are important.
